Donate & Support Our Work

Reasons to Give

Nearby Nature works in neighborhoods impacted by high poverty and inequity.  In these neighborhoods, we are seeing the effects of trauma in our young people. Research shows that time outdoors can reduce stress and improve physical health. Environmental education can also introduce youth to green careers and inspire them to a lifetime of outdoor stewardship and recreation.  We rely on contributions from people like you to keep our programs, projects and outings going.  Even if you do not live in these neighborhoods, you can help make a difference. FYI we are a 501c3 non-profit registered with the IRS. We are no longer a fiscally sponsored organization, so checks should be made out to Nearby Nature Milwaukee Inc. We gratefully thank our foundation, corporate, individual, and organizational donors.  Please scroll down for a recent list.
